Bödele Alpenhotel is a place of tradition – and has had an eventful history. In 1888, it was known as Alpgasthof Klocker. At the beginning of the 20th century, hotel ownership passed to the Hämmerle textile family, and the alpine inn became Alpenhotel Bödele. Unfortunately, it burned down to the ground in 1933.
After World War II, the "Otto Hämmerle" country house was built and rededicated as the new Alpenhotel. In the mid 1980s, ski racer Marc Girardelli took over the hotel. After another fire in 2006, the hotel passed to today's owner Thomas Hämmerle. The famous architect completely renovated it and reopened it as the Alpenhotel in 2014.
