Achtalweg footpath and bike trail
Over a length of almost 10 km, this footpath and bike trail leads along the Bregenzerache from Egg to Doren. Experiencing the wonderful nature and landscape of the Bregenzerache is a special enjoyment. Again and again you will see the buildings of the previous "Wälderbahn" railway, which has been carefully renovated and harmoniously fits in to the landscape. Thanks to its gentle slopes, the path is also suitable for children. The Achtalweg is part of the 40 km long bike path between Schoppernau and Doren as well as the regional "Nagelfluhkette" bike path.

Schwarzenberg – Schoppernau bike path
The bike path from Schwarzenberg towards Schoppernau is ca. 30 km long. In the beginning, it leads parallel to the state road to the town entrance of Reuthe-Baien. You can bike leisurely to Bezau on side roads with little traffic. The path then runs along L200 towards Mellau. Once you have reached Mellau, you can bike though town to the Mellau lifts. From here, the path continues to Hirschau. From Schnepfau, the most beautiful stretch of the path awaits you: along the Bregenzerach, the path runs from Au to the finish in Schoppernau. At a leisurely pace, the round-trip should take around 4 hrs. The path is also suited for less experienced cyclists. If you happen to be in the mood for a refreshing break, awaiting you in Au or in Schoppernau are outdoor pools.
