Vacation with dogs in Schwarzenberg

A great vacation for your four-legged friend!

Surely you have heard this quote by Heinz Rühmann: You can live without a dog, but it's not worth it." This is a statement that every dog owner would support without hesitation. Thus, a vacation without a dog is not a real vacation, especially since nothing prevents you from bringing your dog with you to Schwarzenberg. In fact, you're encouraged to bring along your four-legged friend! The wonderful, idyllic landscape invites you to go on long walks and hikes. The scent of the vast meadows will make your dog's pulse race faster in excitement.

Dog-friendly hiking destinations, dog-friendly accommodations, dog-friendly people - experience relaxing and recreational vacation days in Schwarzenberg together with your best pal. If you are looking for a good place for your dog to stay while you perhaps enjoy a round of golf, the Schwarzenberg tourist office will be happy to help organize a dog sitter.

Things to keep in mind while on vacation with your dog in Schwarzenberg

Dogs are very welcome, but there are a few rules to take note of:

A long walk is a pleasure not just for you but also for your four-legged friend.

Make sure that you bring plenty of fluids for your dog along with you on your hike. Be mindful of the fact that your dog is walking in unknown territory. It is advisable to keep your dog everytime on a leash. Dogs generally love to hunt and may get lost in unfamiliar territory. Unpleasant incidents with other hikers, mountain bikers, or cows in the pastures may occur, and this can be easily avoided.

Dog toilets

In the municipality of Schwarzenberg, there are a few dog toilets. The accompanying dog waste bags are available from your accommodation provider, in the tourist office, and at the individual waste disposal stations. Out of consideration for other people, we ask that you dispose of these bags only in the designated receptacles and not on the edge of a path or in the forest. Your accommodation provider will gladly provide you with more information!
